Expect a visual feast at AEM 2012

The upcoming Malaysia International Art Expo is setting the scene for Malaysian art lovers all over the region. There are almost something for everyone from sculptures to paintings, installations and such but it is the fact that galleries from 23 countries are coming together to sell their works is what makes this event all the more interesting.

The AEM (Art Expo Malaysia) is well into its 6th edition and it will only get bigger and better. The countdown is on and it will kick off in 2 day’s time. Expect nothing less a visual feast and it is only once a year that so many artists, galleries, collectors and art lovers are coming together in a single event to promote not only Malaysian art but also the regional art scene.

To date, about 60 art galleries and institutions have confirmed their participation in AEM and there will be more than 2,000 art works for the appreciation of the visitors. There will be the giant animation by Miao, which have been quite a standard attendee in the last 2 editions while there would be other works from China artists like Feng Zheng-Jie and such.

Apart from that, join the calls for tribute for Professor Li Chi Mao who will be joining the other great masters who have been honoured in the past like Datuk Chuah Thean Teng, Datuk Syed Ahmad Jamal, Professor Jang Sung Up and Cheah Yew Saik. Expect works from other continents as well because AEM is going to host embassies like Belgium, Colombia and Switzerland.
