Clarins We Care charity runs drawing contest for environmental friendly pupils

Clarins, one of the leading European skincare brand recently played their part for charity when they organised the ‘Clarins We Care Charity’ to help provide better future for underprivileged children. The initiative has been one of the ways that Clarins contributed to the community since 1998 when it was established.

For this year’s edition Clarins We Care worked with Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Kelana to organise a drawing contest to some very overwhelming response. The SK Sri Kelana has been one of the primary schools that has been very much involved with initiatives for the environment in recent years and it was no surprise that they school was chosen to play a part in this effort too.

The contest required students to join the ‘Friends of the Earth’ drawing contest where they could use their imagination and interpret what ‘Heart for Nature’ meant to them. Basically, it was to get the students to express their own go-green messages through the use of art. All in all, 120 participants took part of which 12 were picked by the panel of judges as winners. The panel was made up of members of the press, Clarins and representatives from the school who would pick the winners from the 2 categories of those between 7 and 9 years and 10 and 12 years of age.
The 3 top winners would win RM500, RM300 and RM200 respectively while the other 9 would receive RM50 in cash while each winner will also bring home an RM100 worth of book vouchers. The 12 winners would then donate  small part of their win to purchase a tree which would be planted in the school.
