Malaysia’s Red Hong-Yi uses football to paint Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar for FIFA World Cup

malaysia-redhongyiNot long since her last success in creating headlines where she created a portrait of Hollywood Hong Kong action star Jacky Chan using some 64,000 chopsticks, Malaysian-born artist Red Hong Yi is yet again in the limelight.

In conjunction with the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, she used her feet and a football to create the portrait of 3 of football’s biggest stars. It took 8 colored paints large enough for the ball to dip into and using her feet, the Shanghai-based artist created the faces of Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Brazil’s Neymar and Argentina’s Lionel Messi which can be easily recognized on the first look and the end result has been remarkable, as always.
