KL Lifestyle Gallery will be hosting this years edition of the Malaysian Art Auction 2013 on the 7th of April 2013. There will be 112 pieces of artworks that will go under the hammer that will be featuring Malaysian and international artists. The third edition of this event is scheduled to be held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur which will cover artists from Indonesia, Singapore, China and Malaysia.
KLAS is hosting the third edition of the auction following the success of the previous 2 editions which were held in September and December last year. For the 2013 edition, the Malaysian Art Auction will be hosting some rare pieces which include Datuk Ibrahim Husseins Now and Again It Flowers-Series I which will come with a RM750,000 expected sale price.
Other works that will be auctioned off include Datu Mohd Hoessein Enas portrait of Tan Sri Nik Ahmad Kamil, the second Mentri Besar of Kelantan, Yusof Ghanis 1989 Siri Tari, Khaw Sias Yellow Beauty, Yong Mun Sens 1953 watercolour painting Landscape with Bridge and Ismail Husseins trademark painting style Trishaw Stand among many others. Other artists whose works are featured include the likes of Chin Kong Yit, Khalil Ibrahim, Amron Omar, Eng Tay and Abdul Latiff Mohidin.
