As part of the ongoing Georgetown Festival, the MPPP (Majlis Perbadanan Pulau Pinang) is hosting a historical walkthrough on the influence of Thailand in the island state. The exhibition is to demonstrate the Thai footprints in the state and is curated by Clement Liang, a cultural historian. After all, the close proximity of Penang with the northern neighbor has dated back for centuries where it has provided a place for education and home for many Thai settlers.
