The widely anticipated Art for Grabs 2012 is set to come around between 15th and 16th December 2012 and this event is set to ride on the wave of the 21st December 2012 date. Themed Apokalips! (literal translation from Apocalypse to Malay), the Art For Grabs is set to be the last weekend before the predicted date for the drastic change or end of the world.
Many known people and unknown ones have already signed up for the event that will include Chi Too, Carolyn Lau, Fruti Jam, IHeartBadges as well as Jolin Kwok who will be telling fortunes at the festival, a fitting bill for Apokalips! for sure.
Apart from that, NGOs will also be involved where there will be an interactive segment by International Planned Parenthood Federation East & South East Asia & Oceania Region (IPPF ESEAOR) while Suaram (Suara Rakyat Malaysia), Jom Vote, Amnesty International and Tanma Federation are all going to be there as well.
Apart from selling art and craft, you can also attend launches, movie screenings and forums where creativity will be widely celebrated, indulged and promoted. Held at the Annexe Gallery, it is part of the joint-effort by IPPF ESEAOR and Fixi Books.
