‘City’ and ‘Brushed in the Wind’ photography exhibition at KLPF 2012 – Mid Valley Exhibition Centre

The Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival 2012 (KLPF 2012) is set to take place from 5th to 7th October at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur. This is essentially the biggest photography event of the year which will be incorporating travel elements which comes on annually. The Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival is one of the events which are known to bridge photography and art effectively where it promotes the sharing of this art form among photographers and enthusiasts. Hence, it is the ideal platform for photographers who take their art seriously and those who are looking at venturing into this body of work that seeks to inspire and invoke memories.

This time around, the KLPF 2012 will be bringing in the ‘Photo-Creator of the Year 2012’ which goes around the theme of ‘Seni and the City’ which literally requires the aspiring photographers to take photos of the city through their own artistic expressions. There will also be a hall dedicated for the Free Independent Travel Exchange (FITE) which is where visitors to the fair will be able to look for services provided by travel operators for their travelling. After all, travelling and photography are 2 disciplines which goes hand-in-hand.

The ‘City’ photography exhibition will be one which visitors will be able to view how the city has changed through the years in the eyes of the lenses submitted by the public while there will also be another exhibition entitled ‘Brushed by the Wind’ which will involve photos of the pictorial journey of countries like Namibia, South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe around the southern part of the African continent. Apart from that, there are also other related events like Photomania and Travelmania which comes on each year to further expand the knowledge and techniques of this very unique art form.
