Group exhibition – 48 – 6th July 2013 – 18th August 2013

Aptly entitled 48, The Print Room will be hosting a group photography exhibition at its gallery in Petaling Jaya. The show will start on the 6th of July and will run until the 18th of August. This is an experiment which involved 8 photographers with 1 mentor.

It basically refers to 48 hours of life in Bukit Bintang which offers a great platform for photographers. Anyone who has been there knows that Bukit Bintang provides a fusion of new and traditional lifestyle, modern versus classic, culture and technology and just about any other type of combination one can think of.

The photographers went around the crowded and congested streets of Bukit Bintang and ventured into the lonely black alleys with very little sleep in between. After all, the challenge was to capture the 48 hours of life in the place. Some of them barely had time to sleep at all which by the tail-end of the 48 hours, were no longer as focused as when they started.

Bukit Bintang is one of the most ideal subject matters when it comes to photography where the days are almost as busy as the nights and that was what the artists ventured out to capture and presented in this show.
Opening hours: Saturdays and Sundays – 2.00pm – 7.00pm
