A group art exhibition is being hosted by the G13 Gallery. This show is entitled Figurative Trajectories and will be made up of some of the very exciting contemporary artists around today which includes Chong Kim Chiew, Siund Tan, Yeoh Choo Kuan, Seah Ze Lin, Sun Kang Jye, C.K Koh and Gan Tee Shen.
As the name implies, the show will encircle around the subject matter of figurative art and the artists are all specifically selected for their own distinct styles and art form that has been setting the local scene alight in recent years.
The 7 emerging artists have put up their own interpretations and showcased their own body of work on what figurative art is all about. So instead of the usual more boring styles of figures and still-life typed of work, one can expect a more lateral and different views of what figurative art is to the artists themselves.
Kenny Teng, the Gallery Director said that the artists were given the freedom to use their own styles to project the subject matter instead of being confined in one. Hence, it would be quite an interesting show where one will see the various perspective of how figurative art could be like in a different light.
