A 2-artist exhibition is being hosted by Our ArtProjects which runs through 22nd March 2014. The show is entitled Gangguan which means disturbance or disruption which will feature the works of Jun Kit and Tan Zi Hao, 2 young and emerging Malaysian artists.
This show provides the platform for the 2 artists to showcase their explorative and thought-provoking body of work which will include paintings, installations and videos, among others.
Drawing inspiration from the environments of everyday lives, Zi Hao addresses the views of political and social issues using the soil and earth as the main subject matter. The term soil and earth is associated with the likes of Tanah Air and Bumiputera which have been used in many political issues in recent months and how it dictates the world around us.
Meanwhile, Jun Kit addresses the soil from his own home garden, using scenes that are common with a twist in his own way.
The show is held at the 67 Tempinis Gallery, offering a distinct take on some of the issues which have governed the headlines both within the political and social circles of the country recently, a bold step taken by the artists to have their statements heard.
Opening Hours: Mondays to Saturdays 12.00pm to 6.00pm
