The Sutra Foundation will be hosting a group exhibition that encircles around the theme of the Apocalypse, which is the current buzz surrounding the 21st December 2012 date. The art exhibition will feature works of 19 renowned artists that include Syed Thajudeen, Steven Menon, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Jeganathan Ramachandran and Ramli Ibrahim, among others.
As the 21st of December draws nearer, the idea of the end of the world is being talked about more prominently than ever and this exhibition will indulge in the fascination of the issue. It will feature the interpretations of the 19 artists who paint the prophecy through their own artistic ways. Offering a comical and creative way of looking at the end of the world, it will surely be an important date for everyone who is there. After all, the speculation made by the Mayan calendar that stops on that date is suitably the central theme which has been known for its rich culture and traditions. Other artists involved in the show are A.V Ilango, K Krishnan, Dr Chanthiran, Sivam Selvaratnam, Philip Wong, Gopal Krushna, Kishore Sahoo, William Harald Wong, Paul Hun Sopheak, Mat Ali Mat Som and a few others, all of whom brings their unique artistic expressions and body of work for the art-loving public.
