The Alyssa Galeri in Penang is hosting a group exhibition entitled Ink Rhythm Heluo Style from 15th June to the 22nd of June 2013. This would be an exhibition which will feature works from 5 China artists who come from the Henan Province.
The show is organized in conjunction with the China Week of this years GeorgeTown Festival which is the brainchild of Malworks Sdn. Bhd. and China Works together with Opustique Infinity where there will be paintings of some very beautiful landscapes and nature-themed artworks.
The artists involved in the Ink Rhythm show include Li Liuhai, Gou Yucai, Guo Xiaohui, Ma JinCai and Li Jianshe.
As with most Chinese paintings, you can expect there to be some very interesting works in Chinese ink which will be showing off the likes of humanity, innovation, aesthetics and realism. There will be mountains, flowing water, flowers and other elements which are often associated with Chinese art and was the title implies, evolve around the highly unique and interesting Heluo culture, a major part of Henan, having been extremely popular form the early ages until the Qing Dynasty.
The artists are very well established in their own rights where each of them holds important roles and offices within the regions art community and other associations.
