Group Exhibition – Kembara Jiwa: Homecoming 2013 – 15th January 2013 – 14th February 2013

Galeri Chandan in Publika is currently hosting a group art exhibition entitled ‘Kembara Jiwa: Homecoming 2013’. This would be a show that was previously seen at Bandung’s Bale Tonggoh Selasar Sunaryo Art Space and Taman Budaya Yogyakarta late last year and is now back on home soil for the viewing pleasure of Malaysian art lovers. The showcase is made up of a collection of works by 21 Malaysian contemporary artists who are both established as well as up and coming ones.

Among the known names involved in Kembara Jiwa include Yee I-Lann, Jalaini Abu Hassan, Zulkifli Yusoff, J Anurendra and Bayu Utomo Radjikin, among others. The show was an effort to give the artists the opportunity to reach out to the Indonesian art scene and be recognized there. Kembara Jiwa offers a unique opportunity for the artists and art lovers alike. It showcases the diverse and different types of body of work among Malaysian’s finest artists while the viewer will be visiting a show that allows them to immerse in the world of Malaysian contemporary art. Where art is concerned, this show promotes some of the best works seen by the named artists that include the likes of Chang Yoong Chia, Chan Kok Hooi, Chong Ai Lei, Chong Siew Ying, Juhari Said, Kow Leong Kiang, Phuan Thai Meng as well as Umibaizurah Mahir.

Opening Hours: Mondays to Fridays : 10.00am – 6.00pm, Saturdays and Sundays : 12.00noon – 5.00pm
