A group exhibition entitled M50 will be held at White Box, MAP @ Publika, Kuala Lumpur. The show starts from the 27th August to the 17th September 2013. This exhibition will involve some emerging artists as well as some of the biggest name in the Malaysian art scene which is held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Hari Malaysia.
Hence, the name M50 is used which is to celebrate the unique Malaysian Spirit which is organized by the National Visual Arts Gallery (BSVN or Balai Seni Visual Negara) and because it is to celebrate Hari Malaysia which was the day that Malaysia was formed together with Sabah and Sarawak, it will involve 40 art galleries around the country from both sides.
There will be 50 artists involved where the shows curator is Nani Kahar assisted by Intan Rafizi where the spirit and culture of unity among the people through art will be shown. Among the artists involved in this show include Adeputra Masri, the illustrious Ahmad Zakii Anwar, Anurendra Jegadeva, Chan Kok Hooi, Jalaini Abu Hassan, Sharon Chin, Syed Thajudeen, Yee I-lann and Yusuf Ghani, among many others who will be showcasing their respective unique styles of art and work.
