University Teknologi Mara (UiTM) is one of the few public universities that has been producing great Malaysian artists for decades. Through this efforts, the Malaysian art scene has seen some of the most compelling artwork that has gone around both within and outside the country. Come 29th November 2012, the Galeri Seni Tuanku Nur Zahirah at UiTM Shah Alam will be hosting a photography show entitled Malaysia: Dari Lensa Mahasiswa which means Malaysia: From the Students Lens.
The show is a joint effort of the gallery together with the UiTMs Department of Creative Photomedia and the Faculty of Art and Design. It is also supported by the University, the Prime Minsiters Office and the JPNIN (Jababtan Perpaduan Negara & Integrasi Nasional).
The Malaysia: Dari Lensa Mahasiswa show will be officiated by Minister in the Prime Ministers Office, Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon which will be showcasing works of 60 renowned photographers from the media. Students and lecturers of the Department of Creative Photomedia were involved in this event which was led by Tuan Haji Mohamad Azlan Mohamed Amin together with Andrialis Abdul Rahman, Nur Aniza Lazim who have put together an impressive collection of expressions by the photographers.
