The Korean Womens Association of Malaysia is currently hosting one of the most unique art exhibitions in Kuala Lumpur. This will come in the form of the MIKA or Malaysian, Iranian and Korean Artists Contemporary Art Exhibition 2012 and it will be held at the MATIC Art Gallery.
As the name implies, it will showcase the works of artists from 3 countries which will demonstrate an integration of different cultures of the respective art scenes. Essentially, there will be 20 paintings which will be exhibited which are made through different mediums. The exhibition will be held throughout the month of October and will conclude on the 30th of the month at the gallery operated by the Malaysian Tourism Centre.
Artists who are involved in the show include Irans Asghar Yaqubi, Bahador Moayer, Gelareh Lavaei, Mohammad Irani, Mina Hedayat, Parisa Arvand, Pegah Jahangiri and others while Malaysia is represented by the likes of Chin Wan Kee, Nazmi Ismail, Yap Poh Sim, Sivarajah Natarajan, Nancy Lau, Dr Ng Soon Gan, Phillip Wong, Sharifah Zuriah and the very remarkable Tew Nai Tong. Meanwhile, Korean artists involved in MIKA 2012 are Yoon Hyo Joon, Jin Ok Sook, Kim Kyung Hee, Le Eun San and Kang Mi Rueng, among others.
