Starting from the 11th of November 2012, Galeri Seni Mutiara will be hosting a group art exhibition entitled Minimum Yet Optimum. There was another exhibition held at this northern state gallery last year and this year, a different group of Malaysian artists would be involved. They include some renowned names in the Malaysian art scene and it will surely be a visual feast for the art lover with a host of different types of artwork to appreciate. Works in watercolour and acrylic will be showcased and there would be realistic paintings, naive art and many others, just to name a few.
The 2012s edition of the Minimum Yet Optimum will featured artists like Ch’ng Kiah Kian, Chai Chuan Jin, Cheang Pooi Yip, Cheng Yeow Chye, Grace Choong, Ho Mi Mi, Khoo Cheang Jin, Lau Seong Leng, Loo Hooi Nam, Ong Choon Hoo, Ong Siew Khun, Renny Cheng, Susanna Hernesniemi, Tan Kai Sheuan, Tan Sock Chin, Ung Mooi Leng and Yeap Tho Seng which means that there will surely be a bit of everything to everyone. The opening night was graced by Mr Ng Foo On, the former state assemblyman of Batu Lancang from Barisan Nasional where the exhibition would run until the 2nd of December at Galeri Seni Mutiaras The Whiteways Arcade space.
