One of the most recently established art galleries in the Klang Valley, the Segaris Art Center is hosting a group exhibition entitled SEKAKI which literally means One Foot in the local language. The show was recently launched on the 15th of January and will be running until the 11th of February at Segaris.
For this show, more than 50 artists have been selected to showcase their artworks. As the name suggests, all the artworks which are made and created in various medium and style are required to be made in approximately 1 foot in size which means that they would be within 12 inches in all dimensions, namely the height, width and depth.
This is a very interesting show as it involves a combination of well established and emerging Malaysian artists who have come together to present this group of artworks to the art-loving public. Among those who are involved include Jalaini Abu Hassan, Rafiee Ghani, Umibaizurah Mahir with her Abstract porcelain frame as well as Johan Marjonids acrylic on canvas painting. Other artists participating in this show include the likes of Mad Anuar Ismail, Mastura Abdul Rahman, Fauzin Mustafa and Abdul Mansoor Ibrahim, among many others.
Opening hours: Mondays to Sundays 10.00am 7.00pm
