When it comes to art exhibition, everyone would surely have the pre-conception that it involves an art gallery with paintings hung on the walls with a few sculptures on the display stands. An exhibition that fully involves ceramics is quite rare and that is just what Pelita Hati Gallery of Art has put up with their latest exhibition which is entitled Seramik 2012 which means Ceramic 2012.
This would be a very exciting exhibition in which the viewer is welcomed with a host of 3-dimensional artwork interpreted by the respective artists that include the works of Khoo Gaik Sim who has travelled to many parts of the world and bringing her experience to produce some of the most compelling ceramic sculptures seen today.
As the name implies, the exhibition involves a group of artists who have over the years been working on their body of work along this medium and this collective effort will bring together the likes of Ahmad Hafiz Abu Hassan, Mohammad Radzi Ismail, Nur Atika, Rozana Musa, Tan Bee Him, Elke Laubichler, Masaaki Shibata, Mohd Roslan, Nurul Farishah, Tunku Rina and of course Gaik Sim. Seramik 2012 will put on show some of the most cutting-edge ceramic artwork of the mentioned artists at the gallery in Bangsar with the opening to be held on the 23rd of November 2012.
