Group Exhibition – Sri Eden Wall of Harmony – 8th December 2013 – 23rd December 2013

The Space on the first floor of Citta Mall is currently hosting a children group art exhibition entitled ‘Wall of Harmony’. The exhibition will be featuring 270 crayon drawings and some 1,800 of art blocks created by 40 special children and proceeds of the show will be channeled for charity which will go to the Pusat Kebajikan Sri Eden of Wilayah Persekutuan and Selangor.

The 40 special children are between 3 and 18 years of age who despite having learning difficulties have produced some very compelling artworks for this showcase where all the works are for sale for a good cause. Aimee Chan, the principal of Sri Eden said that it was Korean artist Paul Jung who came up with the idea when he visited Sri Eden. The exhibition hopes to build the confidence of the children while raising awareness among the people about the children with learning disabilities.

The exhibition was officiated by Noormah Rauf, the director of the Federal Territory Welfare Department where the large woodwork collages are sold at a minimum price of RM1,000. The smaller ones meanwhile will be sold from RM300 to RM500 where buyers are free to pay more if they feel appropriate or wish to.
Opening Hours: Mondays to Sundays – 10.00am to 10.00pm
