The Segaris Art Centre is currently hosting a group exhibition entitled Suarasa 2. This is the second edition of this show after the success of the first not too long ago. Suarasa is the combination of 2 BM words which are sua and rasa. The former is commonly used to refer to meeting up or appointments while the latter refers to sense of feel or taste.
Hence, the name implies that the 2 elements be integrated where a group of artists have been gathered to offer a visual exhibition of expressions and telling stories through their own unique, respective art forms. Through this effort, Segaris is able to bring together some of the most established artists together with a group of up and coming ones to give the audience a unique representation of Fine Arts in Malaysia through generations.
Among those who are involved include Dato Sharifah Fatimah Syed Zubir, Puan Sri Norma Abbas, Dr.Ruzaika Omar Basaree , Rafie Ghani, Suzlee Ibrahim, Sabri Idrus, Jamil Mat Isa, Anisa Abdullahand Fadilah Karim, among others. With such an impressive lineup, the Suarasa 2 show is set to be more exciting than the first and surely will give the audience a visual feast of Malaysian art at its best.
