The Fine Arts Department of the Faculty of Art and Design of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam is hosting a group exhibition entitled Travelog Royal Belum. This show will feature the works of the students in a form of a documented visual narrative who are in their Fine Arts courses. The group of students had underwent an explorative activity at Peraks Belum forest where they have produced the artworks to be displayed at the very popular and renowned Galeri Seni Tuanku Nur Zahirah in the Shah Alam campus.
This is part of the out-of-class activity conducted by their lecturers Puan Sharmiza Abu Hassan and Mr Farid Raihan Ahmad where the students were exposed to various visual studies straight from Mother Nature while they got the chance to interact with the Orang Asli community in the national park as well. The exhibition will demonstrate the result of the trip through the students own visual expressions. Hence, you can expect a wide variety of mediums used that include paintings, print works, collage and many others.
Apart from that, there will be a video recording that documents the process of the sculpture work of Belum forst by the students who are majoring in sculpture. The exhibition was officiated by the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, Y.Bhg Prof. Dr. Mustaffa Halabi Haji Azahari.
