UiTM or Universiti Teknologi Mara has been one of the major drivers of Malaysian art scene where it has been producing some of the most successful and remarkable Malaysian artists who have been very established not only within Malaysia but the world over.
All throughout the year, UiTM hosts a lot of art exhibitions at its Galeri Seni Tuanku Nur Zahirah or GESTURZ to showcase the works of the students and lecturers from their respective design disciplines.
For 2014, GESTURZ will be hosting its first show at Menara MIDF at the MIDF-UiTM Art Space in Jalan Raja Chulan which is currently on show until the end of January.
Aptly entitled as Commercial Art Exhibition @ MIDF, it will be involving the works of 7 academicians and alumni from the very renowned and highly respected Faculty of Art and Design where there will be a combination of some very thought provoking and aesthetically pleasing body of work on show.
This exhibition sets the platform for the artists to tell their own stories in their own unique ways. There will be depiction and expression on issues like love, passion, spiritual journey and many others where the art piece are all for sale.
