PACE Gallery is currently hosting an exhibition entitled NEU 4 which will be exhibiting some very different elements of the country. As the name implies, it will be featuring 4 emerging young artists who will be showing off their own unique styles and techniques. The artists are Azrin Mohd, Hafidz Shabri, Khairul Arshad and Nasir Che Din.
The word NEU, pronounced as NEW is used to demonstrate the fact that they are 4 new individuals in the Malaysian art scene. This show will be exhibiting 5 artworks from each of them that will all exude their own style and independent from each other.
Each artist was given the freedom to use their own respective themes where they can use their own medium and genre. However, despite that discretion, all 4 artists did venture into a familiar ground where they painted about Malaysia, their home. There are many aspects and topics for the artists to work with and hence, one can associate with the children, politics, social issues and many others.
This will be quite an interesting mix of subject matter where there will be works from Azrin who is involved in the advertising industry, paintings of Hafidz and Nasir Che Din which dwell with societal maters and many others that will surely invoke the thinking mind.
Opening Hours: Mondays to Saturdays: 11.00am to 7.00pm
