The Rimbun Dahan Visual Arts Residency Exhibition is back again on its 19th edition. This will be the last ever residency show from the programme which have brought out so many remarkable Malaysian artists over the years.
As with all its previous shows, the works will be the result of the artists who stayed at the serene and peaceful surroundings over the past year to produce a body of work based on their respective experiences.
This time around, there will be some exhilarating artwork involving Lego and other structures and as the curtain closer show this time, it is bigger and more cutting-edge than ever.
The residency will see a combination of artists from Australia and Malaysia where the former is represented by Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro while Malaysia is represented by Sabri Idrus, one of the most renowned and established Malaysian artists of our time.
The exhibition is held at Rimbun Dahan and it is opened only for a limited period of time for the public and as such, visitors are advised to check with the coordinators before visiting. It will be an exciting show, integrating the techniques and styles of 2 different cultures brought together in a common space over a certain period of time.
