The Edge Galerie is hosting an art exhibition entitled Sin Min and Too Hing Yeap Collection. The show will feature the works that have been acquired by the husband-and-wife art collector which have some of the biggest and most established names in Malaysian art.
There are more than 30 pieces of artwork on display at the show which were completed between 1965 and 2013 where the couple started collecting some 15 years back.
In their collection is some of the top modernist painters like Datuk Syed Ahmad Jamal, Abdul Latiff Mohidin and Datuk Ibrahim Hussein and this will be the first time they are showing 30 of those in their collection to the public.
One can expect to see the works of some of Malaysias most celebrated artists and their body of work that include the likes of Ahmad Zakii Anwar, Chang Fee Ming, Hoe Say Yong and Amron Omar, among many others.
The artwork involved is only for display and are not for sale which is an effort in part of the couple to share the beauty of Malaysian art with the public and it is not often that one gets to see so many works of Malaysian masters at one place.
