Henry Butcher Art Auctioneers which has been actively involved in the Malaysian art scene recently will be holding its fourth instalment of their very own Henry Butcher Art Auction Malaysia on Sunday 28th October 2012. The event will be hosting some of the most remarkable Malaysian art work that have been collected in the last few decades that will come under the hammer at the Sime Darby Convention Centre then.

There will be 91 pieces of artworks which will be auctioned off with 15 artists who will be featured for the first time. This include the likes of Anurendra Jegadeva, Sivarajah Natarajan, Raja Shariman and Syed Tahajudeen together with 12 others which will surely offer art enthusiasts and collectors a wide range of categories to choose from. There will be 2 semi-abstract paintings by the late Datuk Ibrahim Hussein that will be the highlight of the event while other notable artworks include ‘Samarkand 3’ and ‘Landscape’ paintings by the great Abdul Latiff Mohidin.

Other works that might be of interest include the 1979 ‘Untitled’ painting by Anuar Rashid, works by Dato’ Chuah Thean Teng, Ismail Mat Hussein and the highly reputable Khalil Ibrahim. Previews have already started Penang and Singapore while Kuala Lumpur art lovers would be able to see what they are up for at the White Box, MAP @ Publika from 18th to 27th October 2012. Gallery opens from 11am to 7pm daily.
