Entitled ‘Kota Sepi’, you will be welcomed by his latest charcoal works that includes 9 of his drawings on his depiction of the human form and many other subject matter that depicts a common scene in our unique walk of life in his own original expression.

This is somewhat a continuation of his last series the ‘Kota Sunyi’ and you will see the world through the lens of this remarkable artist. You will surely find the open-ended artwork truly intriguing which are drawn to inspire and invoke thoughts. Somehow, it looks as if this series is a extension of what Kota Sunyi is all about although it has its own set of characters, elements and moments.

It is in the images that Zakii put forth that makes his work all the more appealing with the cast of characters of the artist’s own experience and such. There are scenes of the streets and within the likes of coffee shops in which the signature of Zakii’s interpretation of Realism is exuded.

The exhibition is currently going on until the 12th of September and it is a great chance for you to experience and see for yourself why Zakii is so established and well-respected in the Malaysian art scene. Apart from being the pioneers of his body of work, it is also in his technique and unique methods demonstrated in his own trademark style that place him apart from the rest of the more conventional contemporary artists.
