For all aspiring artists and lovers of art, the Malacca Heritage Charity Art Competition is currently going on where entries are accepted until the 1st of November. Essentially, the central theme of the competition is to capture the beauty of the historical city in the unique expressions of the artists and there are in total 4 different categories to choose from.
Organized by TA Enterprises, the Malacca Heritage Charity Art Competition is open to all Malaysians and there are no entry fees. The categories are Drawings which could be done in watercolour, gouache, pastel, charcoal or oil paint while there are also the acrylic, photography categories as well as the Sculpture, Pottery and Woodwork too.
Participants for this competition could join either as an individual or in groups with not more than 5 members and the artwork must all be original which will remain the property of the organiser after submission. As Malacca is the central theme of the event, it would have to encompass themes like batik motifs, Malacca the Historical Trading Port of the world, famous landmarks of Malacca, trishaws or rickshaws or even the arrival of the Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese or British to the port or any other related subject matter.
