In conjunction with the upcoming French Art and Film Festival 2013, a photography exhibition will be held at The Westin Kuala Lumpur. The highly anticipated festival is organized by AFKL (Alliance Francaise de Kuala Lumpur) and the Embassy of France to Malaysia and presented by Martell. This would be the 12th edition of the festival which will be running between 25th April and 6th May 2013 in 2 major Malaysian cities which are Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
The festival is to foster the relations of 2 cultures where the photography show will feature the works of Francoise Huguier. She provides a very intriguing and exciting perspective into the interiors and exteriors of everyday life through her own observation of the middle classes of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, 3 of the most prominent capital cities of Southeast Asia.
A winner of prizes like the 1993 Prix World Press Photo, the 1987 Prix des Rencontres internationales de la photographie dArles and the 1986 Prix KODAK, this would surely be a suiting show to complement the others like theater and such. This is because Francoise shows a very lateral way of her art that captures the essence of Asia through her own unique French angles.
