With such a compelling title Living Metal, this would surely stir the curiosity of art lovers and collectors alike in the solo exhibition by Raduan Mat at the PurpleHouz Fine Arts Gallery. It is intriguing and mysterious in its own unique way where Raduan, known for his realistic paintings in the past has come out with a new set of work on aluminium and printmaking.
The central focus of this event is on the metal substance and where nature comes alive, he aims to inject life and soul into his more three-dimensional body of work which would serve as an interesting platform to start with. Raduan has been working with aluminium for a while now which was seen in his recent show Modern and Still.
A very unique trait about Raduan is that his artwork are very much closely related to his experience and his passion. In painting animals, his brings his passion onto the art medium because he is an animal lover. In fact, he is a farmer in his own hometown where he is a shepherd with a flock of goats amounting to more than 300. Its hard to imagine someone like Raduan to be running about with the animals, but that is where derives his inspiration and references on which in turn produces some of the most interesting artwork seen around in recent years.
The Gallery is open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm.
