Wei-Ling Contemporary will be holding the solo show of Malaysian contemporary artist Sean Lean. This will be the first solo show for Sean who is known for his exemplary techniques in oil painting. The exhibition is scheduled to run until the 20th of June 2013.
There will be a series of paintings of animals and Seans interpretation of melanistic animals. This will be a full-fledge solo effort for Sean who has been giving the art scene a preview of his works in several group shows previously.
It would be a very interesting take by Sean to feature in his own expressive manner, an introspective on his many personas. Each animal that he paints and depicts provide a certain insight into what he feels and does. Through Flesh: Black & White, the viewer will see pieces and bits of Sean.
There are quite a lot of different facets of Seans life that can be seen in this show. It will take a while to get used to his distinctive work but once the viewer immerses into Seans world, one would find that we are actually not that far off, with our own imperfections in our perfect world and societies.
Opening Hours: Mondays to Sundays 10.00am to 9.00pm
