Set to be held at the Soka Exhibition Hall at the Wisma Kebudayaan SGM this coming 13th April is the solo exhibition by Michel Roggo entitled Freshwater Secrets. The show is organized by Soka Gakkai Malaysia in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland which will be featuring the works of the Swiss artist.
Roggos works have often been focusing on the likes of photography under water. Hence, there are always pictures of animals and plants as well as some very beautiful freshwater landscapes. The former teacher has a strong passion in photography which he ventured after giving up teaching some 30 years ago.
Throughout his illustrious artistic career, he has been on more than 100 expeditions to photograph freshwater habitats around the world where he demonstrates his unique way of integrating lights, colours and forms. The unique feature about his photos is that he uses a special remote control system which he developed himself which do not require him to actually get into the water to get his shots.
His works have been published by magazines around with more than 25 exhibitions around the world while Rocco had previously won the Wildlife Photographer of the Year and European Wildlife Photographer of the Year. This show will be featuring 50 prints of selected works from this remarkable artist that include freshwater locations like the Swiss Alps and back home in Sarawaks Gunung Mulu National Park.
