Renowned artist Indra Ramanthan will be holding his fourth solo exhibition at Taksu Gallery Kuala Lumpur from 12th to the 19th of December 2012. Entitled The Nuntius, it is as symbolic as his previous solo shows and this will feature his latest series of work from the designer who has won awards and spent many years in architecture and design.
The Nuntius will be officiated by His Royal Highness, Raja Dr Nazrin Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, The Regent of Perak Darul Ridzuan and to make it more memorable, it is held on the iconic 12.12.12. This is part of the artistic journey that Indra went through in the last 4 years that cultivated his creative process seen through his works so far. His aim is to remain relevant in the art scene where in 2009, he ventured out to create 42 art pieces which concludes with The Nuntius. There will be 12 paintings which are named after the 12 disciples of Jesus Christ and are very personal to him.
His journey began when he showed his first series in 09.09.09 that included the 9 cities that influenced his life. Expectedly, his second solo was in 10.10.10 that were inspired through the 10 Commandments while for the 11.11.11 show which was entitled Themed Unum, there were 11 artworks that used the 4 colours of the Malaysian flag, made to feature his patriotism and that brings us to 12.12.12.
