The recently opened Segaris Art Center is hosting the solo exhibition entitled Jiwa. The show is set to run from the 3rd of June to the 25th of June which will be featuring the collection of works by Daud Rahim.
This will surely be an exciting showcase of the talents of Daud where there will be some very excellent large-scale drawings on canvas. There will be some sculptures as well. After all, this Malaysian artist was formally trained as a sculptor before he ventured into more drawings and such.
For anyone who has seen his previous works, you would have seen the way he effortless paints and how delicately he makes his sculptures.
The Jiwa show is one which will surely be thought-provoking and truly immersing, considering that he tries to narrate the story and messages involving human struggles and achievements in his own unique and artistic way.
It would take a while for the viewer to grasp and identify with Daud Rahims expressions but once you enter into his world, you feel for the man who is family-oriented and a true Malaysian artist with some very exciting deep thoughts seen through his art lenses and this is just some of the unique elements that makes his art so great.
