The China House Gallery in Penang is currently hosting the solo exhibition by local contemporary artist Tilen Ti. The exhibition will showcase what it means to be playtime by the artist and the joy and laughter brought about by pet animals. Tilen captures the very nature of pets like cats and dogs in their natural and often unique ways of showing their human masters what it means to have a good time. Hence, the name of this show was inspired by the time spent between humans and their pets where every time is a playtime.
There will be the signature works of Tilen who uses his own way of unique colour-play painted in deft and bold strokes. This is the second solo exhibition by Tilen, a self-taught artist who comes from Pahangs Raub. A graduate of the Saito Academy of Art, he worked as a Graphic Designer and then moved to Singapore to further pursue his career in 2006 before venturing into his passion in art 3 years later. His first solo exhibition was held last year in Singapore while his participation at the 2012 AAF (Affordable Art Fair) saw most of his paintings exhibited sold and the Playtime show brings his unique body of work back home to Malaysia.
