The G13 Gallery will be hosting the solo exhibition entitled Transfiguration. This show will be held throughout the month of June starting from the 8th which showcases the works of Malaysian contemporary artist Haslin Ismail.
Haslins work has often been associated with fantasy and science fiction where he will be showcasing his imaginative expressions of the transmuting of human into machines as well as in issues involving the technology and natures conundrum.
The artist would mostly be known for his recent show which came through his time as the artist-in-residence in Rimbun Dahan in 2011.
The Transfiguration show will involve 28 of his works where there will be paintings, watercolour, ink drawing and others. Haslin is a graduate of the highly prestigious Universiti Teknologi MARA which has over the years brought some of the most popular artist to the Malaysian art scene.
This would be the second solo offering from Haslin who has taken the bold and courageous step into the art industry in promoting his fantasy-like artwork.
Viewers will surely enjoy the visual feast of the psychedelic art work which features the artists techniques and expressions to their optimal levels while grasping with his unique feature of influence and science fiction.
