Yau Bee Ling is perhaps one of the most established female contemporary artists today whose works are well recognized and appreciated by art lovers. This is because apart from being so renowned in a male-dominated art scene, she establishes herself and her body of work through her signature styles of lines over colours and vice-versa, a trademark which have identified her unique art form in this industry. So unique and exciting are her works that Bee Lings art has been exhibited in many parts of the world which include Japan, Pakistan, China, Hong Kong and even as far as Sweden.
She will be showcasing her latest art work at Wei-Ling Contemporary entitled The Women and it will be her second solo show throughout her 15-year career and there will be a series of paintings which will be featuring her distinctive layered style techniques.
This exhibition will be demonstrating how evolved she has come as an individual as well as an artist in which the main focus is on her role as a woman. There will be various depictions of the common societal scenarios which will be exploring Bee Lings relationship links. The works are intimate and personal to her where one could nearly feel that they are some sort of a virtual extension of who she is and her links with the people around her life.
