Solo Show – Asphalt Pearl – 18th November 2013 – 30th November 2013

The Pipal Fine Art is currently hosting the solo exhibition which will be featuring the works of internationally renowned Finnish artist Soile Yli-Mayry. The artist is known for her works which are produced using the palette knife has been a painter for more than 25 years.

She is among and perhaps one of the most active artists around the world where she has had about 270 solo exhibitions in 25 countries, covering many countries in Europe, in the United States and Latin America and in Asia, covering the likes of Japan, China and India and now in Malaysia.

The show is entitled ‘Asphalt Pearl’ where the audience will be able to experience for themselves how Soile’s remarkable signature of thin, even coat and thick lines using the scraping technique with the palette knife. Her works have often centralized along humanity and the alienation of people from nature in the urban world. Having been producing her art and exhibiting extensively since 1976, this would be an exciting show for the audience to see what makes Soile’s body of work so popular especially through her unique adoption of blending colors and integrating her subject matters to deliver her thoughts through her paintings.
