Coming up in February all the way to the end of March will be a solo art exhibition organized by Wei-Ling Contemporary. The show is entitled The Beginning of Something by one of the most established and renowned Malaysian artist H.H Lim.
This will be his first solo exhibition in this prestigious art space in The Gardens Mall in Kuala Lumpur in which it will be featuring the works of Lim who has quite an illustrious art career around the world. the Kedah born artist has been practicing art for over 30 years in Rome, Italy which is where he is based, and constantly drawing inspiration from.
Lim is known to use elements of everyday life in his body of work including some which were reused, repackaged and reframed thereby giving the old items new meanings and purpose. He has worked in various mediums that include paintings and installations as well as in the performing arts where his works have travelled to many part of the world in continents like Asia, Europe and in the United States. His most recent involvement was in 2013 where he participated at the 55th Venice Biennale and the 6th Prague Biennale.
