The HoM (House of Matahati) Art Trans is hosting a solo exhibition entitled Bubblical Horizons. This is an exhibition which will feature the works of Indonesian contemporary artist Choirudin and it follows the success of HOM Art Trans recent shows JULAI and Young Guns.
HOM has often been associated with programmes that involve artists from Indonesia and the Philippines as seen in their residency activities and so the art space is now a place for Choiruddin, the artist from Jombang to showcase his works to the Malaysian art audience.
He has been showing his works in Yogyakarta since 2001 where his works have moved on to other countries in which he was part of the SAGER programme organized by HOM in 2012.
Exploring the complexities of culture and identity in the current scenario, it will be the central theme of Choiruddins work where this will be his first solo show. He attempts to explain what is known as the bubble phenomenon which has often been associated with simulations and imaginations of life in different aspects, covering the likes of social, political, religious and artistic. This is a show that will attempt to showcase his progression in art since he started.
Opening Hours: Mondays to Fridays: 11.00am to 6.00pm, Saturdays: 1.00pm to 6.00pm
