The Lobby Gallery at the News Straits Times Press (M) Bhd building in Kuala Lumpur will be hosting the works of Malaysian artist Shireen Lee throughout the month of April. The show is entitled Discovery which will be officiated by Puan Aminah Abd Rahman, the Chairman of the Malaysian Watercolour Society on the 12th of April.
This will be the fourth solo exhibition for the artist where it is her first in the capital. This is the tenth year for Shireen in the art scene where she will be showcasing how far she has come in her 30 paintings on display which are done in contrasting color and yet captivating in her own signature ways.
The works are done on different media from her other series like Life is Going On, Discover of Nature and Discovery of Memory. The art exhibition is surely going to be exciting which is being endorsed and recommended by the CEO of NSTP himself, Mohammad Azlan Abdullah. Shireen holds a degree in Town and Regional Planning her works have been previously exhibited in Seoul at the Asia Invitation Art Exhibition, Tokyo at the 10th International Calligraphy Wood Engraving Exhibition as well as at home during the 2008 Malaysian Art Expo, among many others.
