A solo art exhibition is currently on show at the Museum of Asian Art at Univeristy Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. The show is entitled Exhibition by Ismadi Sallehudin: Arjuna Series which will be featuring on his latest body of work.
The works will be spewing his expressions of gestures that he has not made previously. It is an insightful way of looking at how the artist view the world around him. Arjuna offers an exhibition which adopts the spirit and element of an arrow in search of a target and ending point and that is where Ismadi draws his inspiration from, through the beauty of nature and the relationship of life and humans and how they all co-exist harmoniously among each other.
Ismadi, whose full name is Mohamad Ismadi Sallehudin brings with him more than 20 years in the Malaysian art scene. A graduate of the then ITM (Institut Mara Malaysia) and De Montfort University in the UK, Ismadis works encircle around the correlation of humans and animals where he has a reputation of working on paintings, drawings, etchings and monotypes, among many others.
The opening of will be held on Saturday, the 25th January which will be officiated by Datuk Ramli Ibrahim.
