Penangpac is hosting the solo exhibition of Kim Tae-Hoo, who already has a successful singing career back in the 1990s where he had a top selling album to his name. The Korean artist is currently living in Sabah and is venturing into another form of art where he will be showcasing his latest body of work in penangpac.
The show is entitled The Garden of Elements where the paintings will be focusing on the flora and fauna which he is so indulged with since he has been living in Sabah for 7 years now.
The paintings are all inspired by our very own tropical rainforest which Sabah is so commonly known for. Kim studied textures and colors during his stay here and he intends to use his art to create more awareness of preservation of the rainforest among the viewing public.
There will be 20 paintings on display in The Garden of Elements which is organized by The Brain Truster with collaboration with Sabunim, the producer of all natural handmade soap from Ipoh. Kim said that he has been very inspired by the tropical forest in Borneo where he camps in there each year, learning more and drawing inspiration from the wonders of nature.
