The Core Design Gallery will be hosting a solo exhibition throughout the month of November. This exhibition will be showcasing the works of emerging contemporary artist Raja Lope Rasydi who was groomed from the gallery.
The show is entitled LOPE which will be the artists first solo exhibition although he has been involved in the creative arts scene for more than 20 years now.
Raja Lope is from Perak where he has been working on many different disciplines like graphic design and illustrations which is why his works have a strong sense of fantasy and imagination to them. He uses on his airbrushing skills and works on high definition anime characters which will surely juxtapose him against the likes of Hijame Sorayama.
There are 8 pieces of high definition surrealism and fantasy works on show with his own interpretation of his own culture and background, the Malaysian folklore. Through this aspect, he combines interesting local elements with western techniques like airbrushing and painting. Hence, it will be quite expected for the audience to be immersed into his works that draws them into a childhood experience and memories that the young ones usually indulge into through the use of some modern techniques.
Opening Hours: Mondays to Fridays – 10:30am 7:30pm
