The MaTic (Malaysia Tourism Centre) will be hosting a solo art exhibition which will be featuring the works of Christine Das. The show is entitled Que Sera Sera and this will be the second solo show from the Penang-born artist.
Christines works are known for her unique methods and techniques that use lines and textures where they are usually acrylic paint on canvas. She uses these techniques to showcase her unique expressions of nature, which she loves.
This would be quite an explorative venture for Christine where she said that she allowed the brush the freedom to flow which inspired the name for the show. Que Sera Sera which is often associated with the Whatever Will be, Will be phrase is where Christine creates some remarkable artworks, 25 of which will be showcased for the first time.
Apart from art, Christine is a strong advocate and lover of nature where she dedicated her talents to support the plight of the pygmy elephants in Sabah. Christine was awarded with the Marie Claire Woman of Style and Substance in September this year and was involved in the fundraising event for the Borneo Conversation Trust recently where she painted elephant sculptures in a recent show. In Que Sera Sera, there are 4 elephant paintings as well.
