The G13 Gallery in Kelana Square will be hosting a solo art exhibition by Malaysian contemporary artist Faizal Suhif. The show will is entitled Stories from the Soil and will be running for most of March. This is very much a graduate show for Faizal who finished his masters in Fine art last year and it will very much be the platform to showcase how far he has come through after the course, featuring his latest works on his own unique expressions which are intricate and personal.
There are in total 25 new works which are being presented in this show and as the name implies, Faizal will be putting up works that have a lot to do with nature and its related elements. There are oil paintings on show and transfer paintings while he will be installing elements of nature in this show. For anyone who has followed Faizals work, his association with nature and art has become quite his signature and trademark as seen in one of his previous show (also held in G13) gallery when he returned from Ubud, the melting pot of culture and art in Indonesia and presented his findings in the A Silent Diary show in 2012.
