Malaysian watercolor artist Hoo Chee Few will be hosting a solo exhibition entitled Tropical Rain at the Chin Woo Athletic Association in Kuala Lumpur. The show will run from 31st March 2014 to 2nd April 2014 which will be featuring some remarkable paintings using this traditional and yet remarkable medium.
Chee Few comes from Pahang and has been closed to nature since his younger years. He was inspired by his uncle who was a Chinese traditional art master and using his source and association with nature, Chee Few cultivated a passion in the arts and developed his own signature styles. Chee Fews body of work is bright and usually adopts a contrast of color schemes despite its pastel-like shades of the medium.
The artist is a graduate from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology where he appreciates nature through his body of work and that is what he does so diligently through his paintings. Viewing the still life paintings of Chee Few will bring one back to some nostalgic moments and often allow the viewer to pattern match the piece of work with a place and time somewhere in memory, making him one of the few who can exude the power and character of watercolors around today.
Opening Hours: 11.00am to 7.00pm
