City Art Gallery is currently hosting a solo show entitled Turning Points. The show features the work of Malaysian contemporary artist Wong Twing Twing where there are paintings which are close to her heart and yet tweaks the strings of the audience as well.
Twing Twing relates to her personal experiences in her paintings and that is the main reason why there are scenes and landscapes that one would surely be able to relate to as well. All in all, there are about 20 pieces of artworks that are on display in this show.
Each of the art pieces are either in the landscape or street series and one or the other would surely be a familiar scene to the audience. Twing Twings hometown is in Kajang and there would surely be the iconic trademark of the town, the satay there.
This would be the second solo show from Twing Twing when she had her first one here as well entitled Starting Point which marks another milestone for the artist who holds a Masters Degree in Oil Painting from the prestigious Shanghai University. She spent 2 years travelling and getting more inspiration and another 2 years producing this body of work.
