The Galeri Seni Mutiara is presenting the recent works of Dr Izmer Ahmad in his latest solo exhibition entitled Whispers. The show will be officiated by renowned art and antique dealer Mr Brian Cooper where the show is expected to display some of the most remarkable works of the artist who is a lecturer with the School of The Arts in Penangs Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Dr Izmer Ahmad holds a bachelor in Fine Art majoring in painting and drawing from the University of Lethbridge in Canada and Master in Fine Art majoring in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria where he got his PhD as well. Dr Izmer is very much into the research areas of drawing, contemporary art, modernism and related areas where the Senior Lecturer hosted a solo show at the same gallery 2 years ago entitled Sensation of Images at its Whiteaways Arcade space which drew a lot of positive reviews.
This show will feature some of his works that has been done ever since which will display his unique techniques which separates him from other Malaysian artists of his time, making him such a remarkable professional in both the academic, research and creative disciplines respectively.
